notes:
VERSE 1
It’s so much harder,
When you have something to lose,
There’s fire starter,
And we just lit the fuse,
In our wooden castle,
Made from the roots we planted,
Now threatened by the flames,
Of this fight that we granted,
PRE VERSE
You’re uncomfortable,
And I’m misunderstood,
We both fight for a chance at right,
And make splinters in the wood,
CHORUS
Here we are on eggshells right now,
Going out of balance somehow,
Everything we say comes out wrong,
As our kingdom looks on,
Then we fall, and hit ground so hard,
From the wall that we helped keep guard,
And everybody tries to help us make it right,
But it’s different from that height,
It’s different from that height,
VERSE 2
Fragments of our life,
Too big a puzzle to fix,
And starting over,
Feels like a problem to big,
The castles burning,
We can only just stare up at it,
And in our hurting,
The hate becomes habit,
PRE CHORUS
Just too uncomfortable,
And so misunderstood,
We both fight to be seen,
Created splinters in the wood,
CHORUS
We were only eggshells up there,
Losing balance, tripped in midair,
Everything we said came out wrong,
As our kingdom looked on,
When we fell, we hit ground so hard,
From the wall that we helped keep guard,
Everybody tried to help us make it right,
But it’s different from that height
