The show was called Pregnant and Deadly It had to be good She was a femme fatale They found a body in the woods I should have turned the TV off right then I knew it would make me blue She shot her husband for life insurance The evil that some do It hooks me in every time I’m addicted to true crime Seems I have a little problem Getting in the way Holding me back From a productive day The detective was surveying A most grisly scene It was so unbelievable If you know what I mean It hooks me in every time I’m addicted to true crime Well, it’s really a bummer and it has nothing to do with me Killing time by looking in on someone’s misery The matters of fact The plot twists Stone cold killers They are all so narcissistic It hooks me in every time I’m addicted to true crime While he lay sleeping She caved his head in with a brick I could not stop watching I think I might be sick It hooks me in every time I’m addicted to true crime Although I am conflicted And I know that I cannot get back the time I am addicted to true crime
